As Regional Sales Manager, Jimmy is responsible for leading the Luck Ecosystems sales team. Jimmy combines his comprehensive product knowledge with his passion for serving the customer to ensure that our sales experts are technically trained and prepared to support our customers’ success.

Jimmy began his tenure with Luck in 2005, serving as an Outside Sales Representative. Prior to joining Luck, Jimmy held various sports field management roles at the collegiate and professional levels. His sports field management career began in minor league baseball with the Appleton Foxes and Richmond Braves. He moved into college field care in 1995, serving as George Mason University’s Grounds Manager through 2000.

Jimmy earned his Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM) certification in 2001 during his time as the Sports Field Manager at the University of Virginia. While at Virginia, he was tasked with the management and maintenance of three stadium fields and an additional 10 acres of natural sports turf. Jimmy and his UVA field crew earned the STMA National College Football Field of the Year Award, showcasing the top sports turf facility at Virginia’s Harrison Field at Scott Stadium.

In the Spring of 2005, he helped transition Washington DC’s RFK Stadium into a duel professional sports venue, hosting both professional soccer’s DC United and Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals. Jimmy served as the Head Groundskeeper for the Washington Nationals for one season before joining Luck.

He has served as President of the Virginia Turfgrass Foundation (VTF) and currently serves on the board for the Virginia Sports Turf Manager’s Association (VSTMA), the national Sports Turf Manager’s Association (STMA), the Virginia Turfgrass Council (VTC) and the state’s Virginia Golf Course Superintendent’s Association (VGCSA). Jimmy also participates in the regional chapter of the Shenandoah Valley Turf Association (SVTA). He is a 1986 graduate of Colgate University, earning his BA in English Literature.

Larry’s comprehensive experience in both the golf and landscaping industries provides great value to Luck Ecosystems’ customers. His passion for solving challenging project specifications directly aligns with our focus to support customers across Luck Ecosystems’ product families. In recent years, Larry has become actively involved in sourcing many of Virginia’s largest stream bed restoration projects.

Prior to joining Luck Ecosystems, Larry served as the Chief Estimator, Project Manager and Safety Officer for James River Nurseries. While at James River, Larry earned the prestigious Landscape Industry Certified Manager designation, held by less than 1% of landscape professionals worldwide.

Early in his career, Larry served as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent for Willow Oaks Country Club, Salisbury Country Club and Providence Golf Club. He was also an adjunct faculty member for J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, where he taught courses in professional turf care and golf course turf grass care.

Larry received his B.S. in Crop and Soil Environmental Science with a Turfgrass Management Specialty from Virginia Tech. While at Virginia Tech, he was selected to attend Jacobsen’s Future Turf Managers seminar as one of the top 30 graduating turf students in the United States, Canada and New Zealand.

Larry is a member of the Virginia Sports Turf Managers Association (VSTMA), Virginia Turfgrass Council (VTC), Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association (VGCSA), Old Dominion Golf Course Superintendents Association and Tidewater Turfgrass Association. He also currently serves on the board of directors for the Powhatan Little League.

Kateri joined Luck Ecosystems in 2016 and brings a wealth of experience in civil engineering and construction management, along with a passion for environmental sustainability. Through her research and development efforts, Kateri keeps the team well-informed of industry requirements, changes and trends. She is also responsible for providing technical sales support, leading new product development, product management and testing.

Prior to joining Luck Ecosystems, Kateri spent 13 years focused on stormwater management, analysis and design, primarily for low-impact development. She also served as the Dam Safety Program Coordinator and Project Engineer for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. In this role, she managed all aspects of compliance with the state’s dam safety regulations while planning and budgeting all dam rehabilitation projects. While at the department, she also assisted in engineering small scale projects, issued building permits and coordinated hazardous material inspections.

Earlier in her career, Kateri held various Project Engineering positions at well-known firms such as Burgess and Niple, Gary Davis Group and the URS Corporation. During this time, her hands- on job experience included providing site plans for stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, as well as conducting hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and flood mapping. In addition to earning a BS in Biological Resources Engineering from the University of Maryland, Kateri has received a LEED AP certification, a PE license and a Virginia Construction Contractor Officer designation.

John Irby

John serves as an Outside Sales Representative for Luck Ecosystems supporting the Northern Virginia market. John has a passion for horticulture and relationship-based customer service. His depth of experience spans turf establishment, botanical research, landscape design and nursery management.

Prior to joining Luck Ecosystems, John worked throughout the turf grass industry and previously held positions in turf and ornamental materials sales and management with Landscape Supply Inc, Colesville and Watkins Nurseries.

John is a Certified Turf Professional with the Virginia Turf Council and a Certified Horticulturalist with the Virginia Nurserymen and Landscapers Association. He is also licensed in Certified Pesticide and Fertilizer Application.

Early in his career, John worked as a Research Assistant at the J.C. Raulston Arboretum at North Carolina State University and interned at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens where he performed display garden maintenance and design. John graduated in 2005 with Honors from North Carolina State University, where he majored in Agricultural Business Management and Horticultural Science.

Brandon

Brandon Bridges

Brandon serves as a Sales Consultant for Luck Ecosystems specializing in riprap and armor stone. He has extensive experience working with Luck Ecosystems’ mobile production crew and provides critical insight into meeting project specifications and schedules.

Prior to his current role, Brandon served as riprap manager. His efforts helped to build Luck’s marine riprap presence, providing critical production experience and key customer insights. He was responsible for driving the growth of the business, managing production and promoting development, efficiency and leadership.

During his time with Luck, Brandon gained critical experience in various roles including Pit Foreman at our South Richmond location, where he was responsible for oversight of daily pit operations. Brandon received his Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison.

Nate joined Luck Ecosystems in 2016 and is responsible for setting strategy, leading the Luck Ecosystems Team and managing the daily operations of the business. Nate developed his passion for the environment and outdoors while growing up on an organic farm. He has participated in multiple environmental judging competitions and community service projects through 4-H and Envirothon.

Nate started at Luck Companies in 2013 as a Corporate Controller, where he was the financial liaison for Luck’s southern region. Later, he became the company’s first Corporate Development Manager, reporting directly to Luck’s Chief Growth Officer and focusing on identifying and pursuing acquisition opportunities for the Company.

Prior to joining Luck Companies, Nate was a financial analyst at TM Capital, a New York City- based investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions in the middle market. Nate also served six years in the United States Marine Corps as a combat engineer, where he was responsible for the training and mission effectiveness of his Marines during two combat deployments to Iraq.

Nate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business, with a minor in International Studies, from Virginia Military Institute. He lives in Richmond, Virginia and enjoys sports, traveling to other countries and spending time with friends.
